Digital Doctor 22 Dec, 2022

The summer season is bidding us goodbyes but sun tanning is here to stay. Most people have a suntan after the hot season ends. Sun tan can also be an outcome of you basking in the sun during your holidays or from spending too much time under the sun on a particular day. Whatever the reason, getting rid of a sun tan is what we all want.

There are expensive salon treatments for sun tan removal and then there are clinical procedures too. However, it is best to try reliable home-based sun tan removal remedies first to get rid of the unnatural skin color the best home remedies for sun tan removal:

Honey + Lemon juice

The bleaching properties of lemon when combined with the soothing properties of honey, make a fine combination for sun tan removal. For quick results, squeeze one lemon and mix it with one tablespoon of honey. Apply the paste on your face and other areas and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, wash it with lukewarm water. Repeat twice a week and see the differ difference.

Tomato juice with yogurt

Both tomato juice and yogurt are bleaching agents and they also exfoliate the skin due to their acidic nature. Blend tomato and yogurt and apply the paste to your face. Wash it off and get brightening and naturally glowing skin in no time.

Potato juice massage

Grate a potato and squeeze it to take out the juice. Now apply the juice on your face with the help of a cotton ball. Let it dry on the skin and then wash it with lukewarm water, repeat it every alternate day in the week and let the potato work its magic. Potato juice bleaches and simultaneously soothes the skin, helping you regain its natural color.

Masoor Dal+ Aloe Vera+ Tomato

Soak a handful of Masoor dal and then blend it with Aloe Vera pulp and Tomato. The paste has the combined goodness of three ingredients which makes it an anti-inflammatory, bleaching, and moisturizing agent. Apply it on the face, let it dry, and then take off as much of it as possible by gently massing the face. Now wash the remaining paste and pat dry the skin, you will feel an instant color change, and also the skin becomes soft and plump.

Oatmeal + buttermilk

Oatmeal is used for skin exfoliation for ages and when combined with lactic-acid-rich buttermilk, its goodness is doubled. Make a paste using soaked oatmeal and buttermilk and apply it to your face. Let it dry and then wash it off.
