How to Not Feel Sick During the Festive Season

Digital Doctor 20 Oct, 2022

Diwali is the official beginning of an extended festive period. The glitters and glimmers of festivities everywhere make your spirit dance with joy. From Durga Puja Pandals to Dusshera celebration, Karwachauth to Diwali, and then Bhai Dooj, the list of festivals in a row is long. While you celebrate this festive season with full joy, the changing weather puts you at risk of getting ill. Additionally, there are all sorts of food and exertion that can add to the adverse effects. You do not want your festivities to get ruined, do you?

This post is a guide to maintaining your health during the festive season so that you can enjoy it to the fullest.

Eat healthily and stay hydrated

The key to a healthy and energetic body is the right nutrition. Also, hydration plays a crucial role in maintaining your health and keeping you refreshed all day long. If you let go of your nutrition or hydration game, the results can be gruesome. Even if the festive season is pretty busy, you need to ensure you take the right nutrition and drink plenty of fluids.

Do not skip meals: fad dieting

Maintaining your weight during the festive season can be difficult as you have a lot of drool-worthy dishes around you, However, to avoid gaining weight you must not take the ugly route of fad dieting. Quick weight loss is never sustainable and can be the reason for a wide range of problems. You must eat healthily and all the meals. To avoid gaining weight, you must learn how to balance your meals.

Be Alert for mosquito-borne diseases

The season is changing and with this comes the pesky pest Mosquito. Data suggests that mosquito-borne diseases are a leading cause of death across the world during this season, to ensure you do not catch any vector-borne diseases, you must prevent mosquito bites. Avoid water from standing around the house or communal areas, use mosquito repellents, wear body-covering clothes, and seek professional help if you feel overly sick.

Follow Covid-19 protocols

Covid-19 is not entirely gone and cases are emerging from all over India. With festive celebrations calling for huge crowds, the chances of contamination spread are high. Make sure you do disobey covid19 protocols to stay safe.

This festive season, indulge in the festivities but do not overindulge. Follow these guidelines and ensure that you have an awesome festive celebration this year.
